Travel Ready With Ringly

About a year ago I was introduced to Ringly Smart Rings by a friend of mine and I HAD to get one! (See my post here.) Well, Ringly keeps stepping up the wearable tech game. They recently launched their new Ringly GO, and I was lucky enough to grab one for my trip to London and Glastonbury Music and Arts Festival.

Being out of the country for work and still needing to be connected to emails/texts/phone calls etc., it was super important for me to be able to know when these things came through. The downside was, even though I was at an amazing music festival, I wasn't able to hear anything. "That's what vibrate is for, duh!" When you're at a concert with 200,000 other people, it gets so loud and crazy that you don't even feel your phone vibrate.

Can you tell which one it is??

What is so great about the Ringly GO? While I love the regular Ringly Smart Rings, they can sometimes be difficult to wear if your hands are constantly going in and out of pockets, jackets, sweaters etc. The GO fits so nicely around your wrist, that you don't even notice it's there. It's basically the most chic alert system that you could ever imagine.

Like I said before, Ringly keeps the tech updates coming. When I first got my Smart Ring last year, there were only a handful of apps that it was compatible with. Now, Ringlys are compatible with around 140 apps! And that's just on iOS alone! All you have to do is download the Ringly app,

Basically, there's an app for everything you need to make your life easier. Not only that, you can actually put your phone in your purse or backpack and truly "disconnect" and not have to worry about missing ANYTHING.

Not only all of the above, but Ringly tracks your steps, mileage and calories burned. It also reminds you to take a break from your day (I think we can all probably agree that life can get stressful and we forget to take a minute) with guided meditation and breathing exercises...WHAT? How cool is that?!

Can you tell which day I was on a plane for 12 hours?! ;)

After Glastonbury, it was so nice to throw my phone in my bag and enjoy London like a real tourist. My phone was more or less rendered to the sole purpose of being a camera :)

Organic Skincare With Puristry

Since turning 30 and seeing subtle changes in the tone, texture and sensitivity of my skin, I've made a HUGE change in my skincare routine. In the past, I'd run to the drugstore and grab whatever Clearasil  product would solve my issues, which usually resulted in drying my face out to the point of making it worse -- thus, creating a vicious cycle of purchasing more over the counter remedies, most of which (I can't lie) I'd buy because they had colorful packaging or pretty, shiny exfoliators floating in them. I've moved on :)

Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to fix a problem or buy products that are "in" at the moment, that we totally forget just what is in the products we're putting on our faces. These can include

- parabens
- formaldehyde (YES! it IS in beauty products!)
- sodium laurel sulphate (this is what makes things nice a bubbly/foamy)
- propylene glycol

...and these are just a handful. Did you know that your body literally absorbs these things as you're using them?! I recently discovered an organic brand called Puristry and it's changed the way I take care of my face. I've been really trying to do less picking a plucking (don't lie, you know you do it too!) and just let my face take care of itself without me meddling in it's business ;) While I haven't tried all of the Puristry products, here are a few of my favorites:

- Flower Water Toner: Astringent vs toner? This is definitely a toner! What is skin toner? Skin toner's purpose is to use natural ingredients to cleanse and moisturize the face, while astringents are alcohol based and tend to dry out your skin. Puristry combines calendula and rose in their natural toner, which calms your skin and makes it feel SO incredibly soft. It works so well that I haven't been using my daily moisturizer...it's that good.

- Vine Therapy Serum: This isn't just your run of the mill serum. This is a reservatrol serum. Reservatrol creams are packed with antioxidants and help to reduce environmental stressors like, free radicals, that we encounter every single day. Not only that, but reservatrol skin care increases skin elasticity and helps to improve complexion.

- Yerba Mate Eye Cream: Tea is not just for drinking! Yerba mate is the best tea for your skin! While yerba mate isn't technically a green tea, green tea skin products are also super beneficial. Since entering corporate America and traveling tons for my job, I find that my eyes have needed the most love. This eye cream is amazing when it comes to de-puffing those pesky under eye bags from stress and lack of sleep.

Not only are the products above amazing, they smell like a day at the spa. I especially love using them before bed because the natural smell helps me relax and have a good nights rest.
